Personal statement

there is a 5,300-character maximum, which equals about 1.5 pages, single-spaced and in 12-point font.

You do not have to fill all of the available space. A more cogent, focused personal statement that falls short of 5,300 characters will always be stronger than one that’s forcibly lengthened by digressions or irrelevant material.

Get started by Answering ...

How you got where you are

Why you want to be a doctor

What you have to offer

Tell your story they want to know about you and who you are. You can choose to make it more personal or not. This is also the opportunity to let them know if you experience any tough times in life that affected your academics.

It is highly suggested that you get your paper reviewed. I suggest having a wide range of people read it. Friends, professors, family, etc.
